Au Jus

Last night our friends brought over dinner. Needless to say Micah loved it! (He loves ALL food...except chocolate pudding. Go figure!) Well, I look over after we finished up and Micah is sitting at the table with his head down. Take a look at what followed...

Micah's First Haircut

Today my baby boy turned into a big boy right before my eyes. I must admit I am a little sad to see the little curls gone from his cute little (I mean BIG) head. But I also must admit that it was TIME to get it done and over with. :)

Before (With Aunt Joanne who had the honor of cutting his hair.)

After - SO HANDSOME!

SplashPad

Today I took Micah to a neighborhood splashpad. (Yes, that is him in the middle of the picture.) He had a grand ole time. :) He had to warm up a little to the idea that his face was going to get wet, but then he was all into it running around and splashing in the water. I know we will be frequenting this place over the summer. :)

Check it out!

Here is a picture of Naomi's bedding for her nursery.

Our plan is to paint her walls with a off white/cream color and have the flowers that appear on the bed skirt stenciled on the walls around the room. Pink and brown will accent the room.

Rodeo

This past weekend the Hill family ventured out to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with a few other families from our ABF. It was quite a dreary day. It had been raining the last few days and had turned COLD! The day we went to the rodeo the high was only around 50. Add in that rain and no sun...it was chilly! :) Don't worry, though, we were inside the exhibit hall for most of the time. Here are a few photos from our outing.

Arriving at the parking destination. About to go ride the...

Metro Rail! A.K.A the TRAIN!

This is Mr. Jonathan...funny guy!

We saw and got to pet a goat and even a Llama!

Micah's favorite part, by far, were the tractors. He LOVED them and didn't want to leave. :)

Look how big the wheels are!

And this is Daddy enjoying a FRIED TWINKIE!!! I also tried out a fried Milky Way. YUMMMMMM!!! (Naomi enjoyed this, too! :)

And here is picture of all four of the kiddos who braved the cold weather (along with their parents). From L to R. Henry, Micah, Jade and the one that is free from the stroller at the moment - Tyler. (Check out those pink little noses...so CUTE!)

I think we will rodeo again next year, maybe a warmer day, however. :)

It's been a while...

It's been a while and there's lots to update. I guess we will do it in list format.

1. Micah is growing so fast!!! He is now 18 months old...I can't believe it! He is jabbering up a storm and his vocabulary is expanding almost daily. He can say Mama, Dada, Pop-Pop (we are working on G-Ma, G-Pa and Nonnie :). Some other words are car, truck, "whasthat" (what's that - one of his favorites) and one of the most recent is baby. Which brings us to..

2. Our family is expanding. We are expecting our second child around June 20th this summer. We are in our 21st week of pregnancy. Mommy is now feeling great now that she is out of the first trimester. And this past week we found out that...

3. We are having a GIRL!!! Dillon and I are so excited! Dillon's first reaction was, and I qoute, "Now I have to go buy a shotgun." So all you boys out there better watch out! I am excited to get to "go girlie". It will be lots of fun.

Introducing...Naomi Kate

Here is the outfit that we got her after we left the doctor the afternoon we found out we were having a precious baby girl. :) So cute and PINK!

4. Because our family is expanding, I am no longer working my part-time job. It was a great job where I was able to work from home, but with another little on the way my attention needs to be fully on our family. I am so excited about being a full time wife and mommy!!!!! I also praise God for a husband whose is obeying God and wants me to stay home to care for our home and family. I also that him for supporting our family and for God providing for us to be able to make this decision and me to be able to stay home. My prayer is that I will now be able to fully be the wife and mother that God desires for me and that my husband and family need. Father, I thank you for this opportunity!

5. Dillon is in his 3rd year at DTS. He is taking the second semester of Hebrew and a course on Acts and Pauline Epistles. The second class is only a weekend course that meets for 4 weekend out of the semester which means that Dillon is only gone one night a week for class (except for those 4 weekends). That is nice that we are able to have him home a little more this semester. We are all loving it!

I think that about sums it up for now. My hope now is to do a little better at updating the blog.
